About Kate McGibbon, LCSW, LLC
Meet Kate
I am so glad you are here. It takes a lot of courage to take this first step.
I have 11 years of clinical experience. I earned a Masters of Social Work from The University of Michigan and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication and Sociology, with a minor in Women’s Studies, from Augustana College. I specialize in working with adults of all ages who are struggling with insomnia/sleep issues, anxiety, depression, life stressors, relationship issues, career changes, grief and loss or anything that people are experiencing that is making their lives harder.
I strongly believe that all people can benefit from therapy. I believe that therapy can be a support in helping us become our best selves. Finding a therapist that you feel comfortable and confident with is an important part of therapy. I will ensure that the process is supportive in helping you overcome obstacles to you living your life to its fullest.
My training includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy-Insomnia (CBT-i), Mindfulness, and Family Systems.
I look forward to working with you.
